Unattended camera

The Negotiator got a new camera for Christmas. 

He went outside and left it in the hall unattended.  Fair game right? 

So, Tanner and I had a little fun.

There were several more including Tanner's favorite, the toilet, but you get the idea.

He was a good sport and we all got a good laugh. 

(The toilet was deleted shortly after this, I guess he considered that to be crossing the line)



Good Will Hunting

I very rarely watch a movie twice.  I am not a huge movie person to begin with and there are only a select few that I will go back and watch again in my life.  Good Will Hunting is one of my favorites and it has been at least five years since I have watched it.  The other night I caught the second half as I was going to bed.  This time it had a much different meaning.  I identified with the main character in a whole new way,  this time I was watching as a mother. If a person could study my oldest son then fast forward 10 years and write his future character it would be Will Hunting, minus of course the traumatic childhood.  I wonder if Tucker will ever find a Sean (Robin Williams' character) in his life who is able to understand him enough to challenge him or if Tucker will ever see what he is truly capable of academically.  It wont surprise me if he takes a job as a janitor at some prestigious college knowing that he could teach the professors if he really wanted to.  In the end if his biggest accomplishment is going to see about a girl, I guess I can live with that.  I just hope she knows how to make tamales!  :)

Larryisms

When I was about 9 my mother started dating Larry.  My mom and dad were not divorced yet and I was pretty sure they would be getting back together again soon (they always did) so I hated Larry.  In my mind, he was ruining our family and insuring my father's absence.  Despite my cruel and unusual behavior towards him, Larry was always very good to me.  He treated me like his own and eventually became a very important person in my life.  Most of his friends probably don't even know I am not his biological daughter.  My mom and Larry are no longer together but he and I have remained very close.  I often catch myself saying "Larry always says..."  So I have decided to compile a list of Larry's quotes that I have heard over and over in my life.  They make me smile....


"It's the F word (dramatic pause) Family."

"Angela, you can't make stupid people not stupid!"

"When people get old they either go in or out.  They either get really happy or really grouchy, there is no in between."

"I still wear the same size jeans that I did in High School."

"Sometimes people can be so smart that they come back around the clock to stupid again."

It didn't matter if we were two blocks away, if we asked him how much longer this was the answer we got.
