For the 4-H show last year, Tucker wanted to do a breeding project. He went to Bob, a friend of ours and asked him if he would be willing to sell a heifer. He was willing and Tucker got to pick her out himself. He named her Jennet. Shortly after the show, she went to pasture with a bull. She came home in the summer and the count down began. Last week, Tucker predicted the calf would come this weekend. He was hoping for a heifer calf so he could keep her.
Last night at about 10:30 pm, Justin (Tucker's bull who is not the father of the calf) started making a bunch of noise. He is normally pretty quiet except at feeding time so Johnny went to check it out. Wearing a robe and snow boots and holding a small flash light, this is what he saw.....
Things looked good so Johnny went to bed. When Tucker woke up he was mad that no one had woke him.
He went outside right away and spent most of the day really close to the calf. He was excited to find out it is a heifer. He named her Jennay. Both momma and baby are doing great.
