1st and 2nd Day Of School

I wanted a first day of school picture.  Despite the subjects in the photo being extremely uncooperative I was able to get a really good one.  The Negotiator made me promise not to post it on Facebook.  I kept my promise but, I accidently deleted the picture from my phone. 

  I made them do a second day of school picture.  I gave up.

The Negotiator: "Mom, you really need to learn how to shoot a bow."
Me: "I don't really think I do."
The Negotiator: "You should, in case you're ever on probation."
Me: "I don't ever plan on being on probation."
The Negotiator: "Yeah, well neither did the Duke boys."

Don't Touch

It started in the store when I was trying to reach a 12 pack of beer.  Being 7 inches taller than me, The Negotiator offered to help.  I told him "No, thank you." and proceeded to climb a stair case of 30 packs to get the 12 pack at the top of the shelf.  I explained to him that as stupid as I thought it was I had heard several stories lately of kids helping with the beer and people at the store getting an attitude.  I had to keep reminding him throughout the trip.  It seemed to sink in when we were loading the van. 


While eating dinner.....


Johnny: "Would you mind going to the garage to get me and Uncle Jason each a beer?"


Me: (Planning on having him bring in the whole box)  "Is it still in the box?"


The Negotiator:  "Yeah, I am not allowed to touch the box."
